August 30th, 2013
Proceeds to benefit the Calais Campbell CRC Foundation and Ron Wolfley MVP Foundation

PHOENIX (Aug. 30, 2013) — The National Bank of Arizona (NB|AZ) Women’s Financial Group (WFG) is excited to announce its fourth annual Winter Swing Golf Tournament, which is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10 at  Blackstone Country Club.

A cocktail reception and silent auction at El Chorro in Scottsdale, called ‘Twas the Night Before, will kick off this year’s Winter Swing Tournament on December 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Winter Swing Golf Tournament will be held at Blackstone Country Club in Peoria on Tuesday, December 10. The tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and a warm up period, followed by a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon and awards reception will wrap up the day, featuring a raffle drawing for a chance to win two tickets to the 2014 Masters in Augusta, Georgia.

All proceeds from the event will benefit two deserving charities, the Ron Wolfley MVP Foundation and the Calais Campbell CRC Foundation. The MVP Foundation leverages the power of professional sports to provide opportunities, interactive programs and resources to at-risk children and families in Arizona. The CRC Foundation was established to teach life skills that are not typically learned in a traditional classroom setting, such as accounting, budgeting, and diversity awareness.

“We are thrilled to partner with the MVP and CRC Foundations for the 2013 Winter Swing Golf Tournament,” said Mary Holman, president of WFG. “Our goal is to raise more than $100,000 for these two foundations through sponsorship, participation and donations.”

Golfers can compete in one of four different divisions in this year’s golf tournament:
  • Women’s Division (Player) - $400
  • Women’s Division (Team) - $1,600
  • Open Division (Player) - $400
  • Open Division (Team) - $1,600
Various sponsorship opportunities are available. Confirmed participating sponsors include El Chorro, 360 Physical Therapy, Jennings Strouss and RMJ Electrical Contractors.
